young artist gallery

This page features artwork done by students at my studio. The ages range from 6 years and up. Enjoy!

Spring Exhibit at Medford Optical, High Street, Medford Square.
Some of this work done by my students at Artworks is from a still life.
The rest is from their imagination!

and on to winter 2010
Students learned to paint pine branches, pine cones, berries, ornaments and a moon in watercolor.

What's nice to see is each artist has a different view and style.

Here the artists are painting trees at night with pastels on black paper.

The next time that you are outside when it's dark take a look at the color of the trees and landscape with the light from the moon and stars.

On to the harvest in Autumn 2010
Students used this still life, depending on their view, for inspiration for the acrylic paintings that you see below. They did not use "tube orange" but had to mix various yellows and reds to create the color orange. Enjoy.

The above artwork was inspired by Picasso. We did self portraits and then distorted them.

These plaster and acrylic masks are life size and done by different artists.

Acrylic inspired by Van Gogh

This is an exhibit of student art work at Medford Optical, Medford Square. These graphic pieces were done in acrylic and inspired by the famous architect,
 Frank Lloyd Wright.
We studied designs that he used for his stained glass windows and gates and then designed our own version. Stunning aren't they? A new exhibit will be going up in October so be sure to see these before then.
